What are they made of?

Anti wrinkle injections are comprised of a protein derived from a bacteria called clostridium botulinum. It is a purified protein of the A type.

How do they work?

They work by effecting the signal from the brain to the muscle. They selectively bind with the nerve endings on the muscle and prevent any contraction from occurring. By doing this they relax the muscle. By relaxing the muscle, you release the tension on the overlying skin resulting is a very smooth appearance of the skin and eliminating some of the wrinkles.

How long do they last?

These wrinkle relaxers consistently work for a period of the 3- 4 months. Sometimes they wear off quicker depending on the strength of the muscles in your face. They generally wear off quicker at your first visit, and if you continue the treatment you often see a longer lasting effect.
